Radu Şerban was born in Cluj, Romania, on October 11th 1960. He is both a citizen of Romania and Canada. He graduated the High School of Arts in Cluj-Napoca and the Art University in Bucharest, Painting Department (1987), in Prof. Marius Cilievici’s class. Since 1990, Radu Şerban has been a member of the Unions of Artists in Romania (U.A.P.) and taught at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca where he is currently employed as lecturer. In 2006 he was granted a doctoral degree in Visual Arts.
The artist is represented in Canada by "Teodora Art Gallery" from Toronto.
